Golf is a popular sport around the world that involves using a club to strike a ball from the teeing ground in to a hole on the putting green. The main objective of the game is to place the ball in to the hole in as few strokes as possible. What is referred to as a round of golf usually consists of 18 holes that will be played in one game.

An important rule to remember is that players must respect the rules of the course they are playing on. Every golf course has different holes and specific rules, such as the boundary locations and times of playing. As well as golf courses, there are indoor places to play such as the golf driving range Crawley which are perfect during bad weather and offer a range of simulation golf courses from around the world.

When playing golf with other players, the order of play must be determined. When beginning the first round, the order of play does not matter, but after teeing off it should be the player who has hit the ball closest to the hole who plays first. This makes it easier for scores to be kept. When scoring, a point will be given to a player for each swing that it takes to get the ball in the hole, plus additional points will be added if the ball falls out of the boundaries. The winner of the game will be the player with the lowest score at the end of the round.
